Ridin in Da Bus

I woke up early today at 7:30am. That is such an accomplishment! I usually sleep until 12:00pm! I woke up to get ready, but my unwashed jeans and superman shirt. My mom gave me $20 bucks to pay for my cream from eBay. I told her I was only taking the cheap $0.25 bus, but instead took the Metro bus which is around $1.25! I had to go to Pioneer Blvd and Alondra Blvd to the Money Mart to put money in my card to pay for it.

I sat by the sun on the left side with the window. Then, the sun started to burn my sunglasses, so I went to the right side. An old Asian man sat next to me. He was nice. He would hunch purposefully to let me see ahead. I acted as if every other stop would be my next stop.

The bus driver was very nice she saw that 2 elder Asian ladies and a daughter were almost missing the bus. The driver stopped and waited. It was so nice to see the Asian ladies so happy and thankful. It was funny because they would be talking in their language all fast. That happened to be next to a senior community, which used to belong to section-8 people, but most of the Koreans took over and got it instead. I'm not sure why, but that's the way it happened.

I finally got to my stop. I saw Tommy's burger. It has been a while since I ate there. I was so starving for it! I kept walking. Went to pay the credit card. I saw the bus pass, so I went to the 98 cent store and bought soap and sunscreen. Great products!

As I rode back to the bus I noticed a man with his child. It was the sweetest thing ever. The man was there taking care of his child and feeding him. It was a touching moment. I was there just observing. Once the man had left the bus, I saw that he was short and he walked with his child hand-in-hand.

I then looked at the windows. I remember a statement from the movie Crash. You should all go see it and buy the DVD-- such a great movie! Well, one of the African Americans said something like "They make the windows large in the buses to make others see the people within who are the shame." Wellz something like that! I did see cars that kept looking at me with eyes like "go get a car." I then saw a local bus and the windows were tinted. I thought to myself, we shouldn't be ashamed for riding the bus, we are saving money and going were we want to go.

I then just got dropped off by the bus and came home. I ate two sandwiches. Yummy. Avocado... so delicious!
